Surajmal University is initiating the teaching of Professional courses, which is a term used to classify academic programs which are applied or interdisciplinary in focus. Professional studies usually combine theory and practice-based professional learning, focusing on a body of knowledge that is more strictly delineated and canonical than non-professional studies.
Courses under this college are in tune with the UGC guidelines for introduction of Bachelor of vocation (B.Voc) programs in Universities with the aim of aligning higher education with the emerging needs of the economy so as to ensure that the graduates of higher education system have adequate knowledge and skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
University is proposing to start B.Voc, Diploma and PG Diploma courses under self-financed (PPP) mode . The courses have been designed to prepare students in the areas of human development and learning, curriculum and instruction, assessment of and for learning, classroom and behavior management, foundations of education and the teaching profession, language and literacy.
