Surajmal University proposes to have college of agricultural and Environment sciences under its ambit as its analytical and innovative study can help in the development of new variations of crops like pest resistant crops which will ultimately lead to the development of culture of agriculture in the region and country for better productivity of agricultural products and hence better income for people associated with agriculture industry. The study of Environmental Sciences has been clubbed with it for protecting the environment as we all are facing the challenges that are becoming more important with passing of every day. The study of agricultural sciences is important as the agriculture sector is up to four times more effective than other sectors in reducing poverty. The world on one hand is counting on agriculture to produce more nutritious food for- and improve the livelihoods of – a booming population, especially the poor while on other hand we are supposed to conserve our environment in the face of increasing human population growth and anthropogenic activities that degrade natural resources and ecosystems.
The study will revolve around the learning methods and the techniques that are involved in the farming and the cultivation of the crops of various kinds. This study will enhance the chances of production of better variations of crops that yield more and take less time in growing. Main branches of agricultural subjects for the award of B.Sc, M.Sc, Diploma, B.Voc, PG Diploma and Certificate programs will be-

In general, it may be mentioned that the study in the college of agriculture will include the aspects of Science, Technology and Business together. The imparted training shall enable the students to invent and to work on better quality of yields and crops and also to run a business on agriculture. By studying environmental science, the students will understand the role that they have to play in protecting mother nature. They will also realize that the environmental problems New, old, past and present) are not only local but global too. They will also be familiarized with available solutions to different environmental problems caused by poor hygiene, energy waste, etc., and shall be in a position to apply them in ways that create and preserve a healthier environment for future generations. The reason behind combining the two branches is to make students aware about the fact that environment can be sustained through a combination of different disciplines, or inter-disciplinary knowledge. In such a manner the students will show more concern for all elements of nature in every walk of life and in a holistic manner.
This study in this college is to make all stake holders aware about the fact that the earth is not only for mankind but also a habitat of other living things which normally deserve our care and respect. We do not have the right to drive other living things into extinction: all species have a right to exist.
