Implementation of Reservation Roster
Statutory Compliance:
Surajmal University implements the reservation policy as mandated by The Uttarakhand Private University Act, 2023, which governs the functioning of all private universities in the state. The University ensures full compliance with the latest government orders, amendments, and circulars issued from time to time by the competent authorities.
Categories Covered:
As per the Act and the State Government’s reservation norms, the following categories are entitled to reservations:
- Scheduled Castes (SC)
- Scheduled Tribes (ST)
- Other Backward Classes (OBC)
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
- Women (where applicable)
- Dependents of Freedom Fighters / Ex-servicemen / Other Special Categories (as specified in the Act)
Preparation of Reservation Roster:
The Roster is prepared in a transparent manner based on the percentage of reservation applicable to each category as per government directives.
Each roster point corresponds to a particular reservation category and is filled accordingly to maintain the cumulative percentage of representation.
Periodic Review and Updates:
